Eastside Domestic Violence Program

EDVP’s mission is to end domestic violence by changing individual, institutional and societal beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that perpetuate it. To achieve this we will work with the community to:

logo
PROVIDE services in East and North King County to people, primarily women and children, who have experienced physical, emotional or sexual abuse.

PREVENT domestic violence through advocacy, education and support.

Since 1982 EDVP has provided safety, support and accessibility to more than 96,000 victims and their children.

EDVP believes that domestic violence will end only when individuals, institutions and society as a whole join together to demand an end to abuse. EDVP supports a comprehensive, coordinated response to domestic violence by working together with other social human service agencies, police departments, hospitals, businesses, community groups and individuals to end domestic violence.

If you or someone you know is being abused or you would like to learn how to help, please visit www.edvp.org for the 24-hour crisis line and the shelter and program wish list.

Rising Star Guild

logoCompiled of women who live primarily in the Bellevue/Issaquah area, with households presently comprised of “older” children, the members of the Rising Star Guild feel compelled to continue with purposeful work for the advocacy of children. It is disturbing to realize that 1 in 5 teenagers will be abused in their teenage years. Therefore this group has chosen to put energy into the cause to end domestic violence.

Since 2001, when the Guild began, more than $100,000 in donations has been raised to benefit women and children in EDVP’s homeless shelters and programs.

Rising Star Guild volunteers are committed to making a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and their children.
